Handwork and technique

My recorders are primarily hand-made. I usually make a small series of standard models at a time. In the case of specially pitched recorders (e.g. d“, es’, g’), I usually work on 1-3 instruments at a time.

Working by hand naturally means – as it did in olden days – using lathes and special tools, clearly demonstrating that a craftsman is able to produce his work primarily using his own hands.
